About Sam Goldwater

Samuel Goldwater is a Technician Assistant in the College of Science. Sam previously worked in an asbestos and wear particle analysis company, providing automated analysis and classification of asbestos-containing building samples, wear particle analysis from industry equipment, and mould spore classification, through the use of a Scanning Electron Microcope and EDX X-Ray Spectroscopy.

Department Responsibilities

Responsible for setting up, preparing and demonstrating undergraduate Life Sciences, Chemistry and Pharmacy practicals along with maintenance of labs and equipment. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, Sam also assists researchers with analytical instrumentation such as the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and the Monowave 400 Microwave Synthesis Reactor.
