About Riccardo Polvara

Ciao, I am Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Computational Learning team within the Lincoln Center for Autonomous Systems and I am currently involved in the project called "National Centre for Nuclear Robotics", funded by EPSRC and comprising many national leaders in AI and Robotics. Previously, I was a PhD candidate at the Plymouth University, UK, where I applied model-free reinforcement learning techniques to the autonomous landing of a UAV on the deck of an unmanned surface vehicle. I also got a BSc and MSc in Computer Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

Department Responsibilities

In the project I'm involved, my duties are related to the development of learning-based solution for autonomous navigation and recovery of a mobile manipulator.
