About Glen Mills

Professor Glen Mills: Head of the School of Architecture and Design in the College of Arts. I am from South Africa where I grew up, was educated and worked as a professor of architecture and consultant.   Other academic slots include being the head of the school of architecture at Texas A&M University, professor of architecture in the University of the Witwatersrand, and professor and dean of arts at Tshwane University of Technology, SA.

Department Responsibilities

My responsibilities include overseeing and developing our portfolio of programmes, maintaining and building new academic and research partnerships, and coordinating and facilitating the School’s research and income generating activities. I actively promote strategies to enhance the impact of research and teaching carried out within the School and, through this, aim to increase the visibility of the School in national and global contexts, as well as explore links with leading universities internationally.
