About Trish Jackman

I joined the School of Sport and Exercise Science as a Lecturer in September 2017. I was awarded a PhD by University of Lincoln in 2017 for a thesis that investigated the relationship between mental toughness and the psychological states underlying excellent performance in sport. My principal research interests include: the psychological states underlying excellent performance in sport; flow states; embodiment and physical activity; attentional focus; and psychological well-being in sport and exercise.

Department Responsibilities

I teach on sport and exercise psychology modules across undergraduate programs, am a personal tutor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation projects. I am an active researcher in the psychology of sport, exercise and physical activity. I jointly co-ordinate Outreach activities in the School.
