About Sharon Green

Sharon originally joined the University in 2003 as a Lecturer in Food Manufacture after 15 years of experience in the food manufacturing and farming industries. She has held Group Technical Management roles for Uniq (formally H.Hargrave & Co Ltd) and Geo Adams & Sons Ltd and has practical experience of pig and sheep farming. Sharon has an extensive knowledge of food related qualifications and quality monitoring systems which was enhanced by her time spent with the Meat Training Council (FDQ) from 2009 to 2010 as Quality and Accreditation Manager.

Department Responsibilities

As Deputy Head at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing (NCFM), Sharon leads business partnerships for the campus’s work based and educational programmes which encompasses all levels of apprenticeships (including Higher and Degree Apprenticeships), vocational short courses and Skills for Life provision.  She also leads Further Education quality systems for the NCFM and our subcontractors.
