I am a doctoral researcher in the School of Sport and Exercise Science, University of Lincoln, UK. Often framed by qualitative approaches, my research centres upon studies of gender, health, ageing, leisure and embodied experiences. My doctoral research, entitled ‘Physical activity, ageing and embodiment: The examination of a figuration of retired older men who previously served in the British Armed Forces’, focuses on retired servicemen’s lived experiences of physical activity and ageing.
