Paula OBrien is a Senior Lecturer in the Lincoln International Business School My doctoral research is on the internationalisation of UK Higher Education (HE) and draws attention to 2 key areas: the experiences of international students. and their identity work during study abroad. This research has continues to contribute to curriculum design, the transferrable skills and knowledge of students, raising the importance awareness of cross cultural issues in future managers. Prior to undertaking my doctoral research I undertook the delivery of international MBA programmes specialising in Organisational Analysis in centres in Hong Kong, Zambia and Oman. Before being appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Lincoln I gained professional experience advising SME’s on training and recruitment as a Recruitment Manager before returning to academia. I have more recently undertaken a lead role for Student Engagement Champions and I am currently a member of the Self Assessment Team for Racial Equality at the University of Lincoln.
