Paul joined the university in December 2011. He is a qualified social worker with over 25 years’ experience in a variety of roles in adult social care, working in London, Lincolnshire, Nottingham and Leicester. In addition to his local authority experience, Paul has worked for the Department of Health (as East Midlands regional manager for the national carers strategy), a local health authority and in the voluntary sector. Paul’s interests include services for older people, family carers, service user involvement, and the personalisation changes in adult care.

Recent and past activity has included work with Lincolnshire County Council and with Treetops Hospice, Derbyshire, both projects being concerned with supporting the evaluation of carer support services.
