I have to come to the University of Lincoln, where I am currently pursuing a PhD, after working in the field of animal welfare as the director of a dog rescue program in New York City. In this position, I facilitated the transfer of unwanted, stray, or abandoned dogs from high-risk areas of the United Staes, such as states that have the highest euthanization rates, to New York City to be rehomed. I completed a MA degree in psychology at the New School for Social Research in 2009, where my thesis work examined psychiatric service dogs as a long-term treatment modality for individuals with anxiety disorders. Prior to this, I completed two BA degrees in psychology and sociology at RIchmond, The American International University in London in 2005.
I am a full-time PhD student in the School of Life Sciences.
