About John Stocker

Since 2003 I have been a Senior Lecturer at The University of Lincoln, having previously taught at a number of colleges in Cornwall. From the very beginning I have always taught on multiple design programmes including: BA (Hons) Creative Advertising, BA (Hons) Graphic Design as well as MA Design and MA Graphic Design. In previous years I have been fortunate enough to run projects on BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design and BA (Hons) Design for Exhibition and Museums.  Between 2010 and 2016 I was School of Architecture and Design Co-ordinator for Postgraduate Taught Design, and also Programme Leader: MA Design Programme (both full and part-time modes) and the Programme Leader: MA Graphic Design. I am now the Director for Teaching and Learning for the School of Architecture and Design. My teaching is supported and informed by my creative practice and ongoing academic and scholarly interests. The best bit is that my job enables me to do what I enjoy most - talking to interesting people about interesting things! I am also: An original Founding Member of the Do Lectures (www.thedolectures.com) A volunteer ranger for Sustrans (www.sustrans.org.uk) A longstanding member of the Cyclist Touring Club (www.ctc.org.uk), which campaigns for safer roads Member of Audax UK, the long distance cyclists club (www.aukweb.net)
