    About Ilenia Bregoli

    Ilenia is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Lincoln Business School. She joined the University of Lincoln in January 2013, after having worked at the University of Northampton and at the University of Milan – Bicocca in Italy. She was awarded her PhD at the Catholic University of Milan (Italy) in 2011. Her PhD thesis entitled “Effects of Destination Management Organisation’s (DMO) coordination on destination brand identity: a mixed method study on the city of Edinburgh” was aimed at empirically studying the link between the governance of tourism destinations and the development of destination brands. Her research interests are related to destination management and marketing; destination branding from the supply perspective; experiential marketing; and consumer behaviour. Currently, she is involved in several research projects in the areas of destination branding; experiential marketing in multi – stakeholder environments; museum marketing; and wine tourism. She has presented the results of her research in several international conferences and she has published in the Journal of Travel Research,Tourism Analysis and the International Journal of Tourism Research.
