Ffion joined the Lincoln Institute for Health (LIH) in February 2015 where her primary role is to support the development of the Lincolnshire joint research agenda between the LIH and Lincolnshire NHS Trusts.
Ffion was previously based at Aberystwyth University where she was conducting an evaluation of a diabetes self-management program for the local health board (Hywel Dda University Health Board). Working alongside Diabetes Uk and clinicians from the local health board she also organised several public engagement activities providing information about diabetes research, prevention and self-management. Through this type of activity Ffion has not only provided a service for local people, but has also developed a strong working relationship between researchers, medical professionals and individuals living within West Wales. In addition to working with different research institutions throughout Wales she has had experience working in clinical settings, and possesses a strong collaborative ethos.
Current research interests include lifestyle and chronic conditions in particular type 2 diabetes, vitamin D and developing systematic reviews.
