School of Sport and Exercise Science
College of Social Science
Following the completion of an undergraduate degree in Human Movement Studies (Brunel University, formerly Borough Road College), I completed a PGCE and began my early career in secondary education. From this position I was successfully appointed to develop Higher Education at Lincoln College and established a range of undergraduate provision. During this time I was awarded a Masters in Education. In 2006 the University of Lincoln appointed me to lead the new School of Sport and which has established itself to become a school that offers a high level of provision, with excellent resources. One of my areas of sporting interest is athletics and during my spare time I am involved in coaching.
As Head of the School of Sport and Exercise Science I manage a motivated team that has achieved success within the School. In the last 6 years, since the School was established, we have achieved growth in terms of student numbers, developed a state-of –the-art Human Performance Centre within the university and led the Subject area to become a high achiever within the UK in terms of student Satisfaction (National Student Survey).
