About Rebecca Herron
I’m a Reader in OR (Operational Research) and Systems. My main interests revolve around the application of these ideas in relation to community groups and not-for-profit organisations. I’m particularly interested in the value of informal learning within communities to help shape new collective and individual understandings and hopefully improved actions (Community Operational Research).
My professional background includes roles as an Operational Research Analyst with Pilkington Glass Ltd (St Helens, UK) and a Performance Analyst within Nottinghamshire and Nottingham LEAs. My doctoral research at Leeds University was based within the Nonlinear Studies research group - looking at dynamical models of consumer populations.
