English Language Centre
Alasdair is an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teacher, manager and curriculum & materials designer with a special interest in leveraging technology for innovative applications in education. He has worked for the English Language Centre (ELC) as a Programme Manager & Senior Tutor since the department’s inception in 2011. During this time, hundreds of students have attended the ELC’s bespoke courses which incorporate cutting-edge educational methodologies and technology.
Oversight of the development and management of the English Language Centre. Design and management of all of the Pre-Sessional PEASS courses. Designing a blended (video & face-to-face) TEFL - Teaching English as a Foreign Language - teacher training course (for domestic and international students) for an Autumn 2016 start. Designing an online preparatory course for International Students. Oversight of the extended Pre-Sessional course (PEASS 20). Oversight of the Lincoln English Language Proficiency Test (LELPT).
