About Anita Backhouse

I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education.  My doctoral research focused on the experiences of PGCE (Primary) students and adopted a mixed methodology using both statistical and phenomenological approaches. My other research interests relate to assessment in Higher Education contexts as well as cognitive development in science and mathematics. Before joining the University of Lincoln, I worked as a Senior Lecturer at York St John University and taught on both the undergraduate (Primary) and PGCE (Primary) teacher training programmes and the PGCE (Secondary) teacher training programme.

Department Responsibilities

I am the PGCE (Primary) programme lead working with the Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance (LTSA) SCITT.
