Finance Executive Office
David Braham is the Chief Finance Officer within the Finance Department at the University of Lincoln. David joined the University in 2010 as a ‘newcomer’ to the sector. Prior to joining the University, David trained as a Chartered Accountant in professional practice, had a year travelling and working around Australia and then worked as Group Financial Reporting Manager for a FTSE100 plc in the banking sector. David joined the team having been impressed with the University’s success story, the impact on the City Of Lincoln, and the ‘greater good’ of the education sector compared to the ‘shareholder-value driven’ world of banking.
The Finance Department consists of approximately 35 professional staff who have relationships with every area of the University at both a strategic and operational level. The role of Finance includes supporting the development of University strategy, maintaining accurate accounting records, safeguarding assets and delivering an excellent student experience. David manages the full Finance team from an operational perspective and works closely with the rest of the Senior Leadership Team at a strategic level to drive the University forward, deliver against the strategic KPIs and support the top 40 agenda.
